How the course works
Learning & delivery
The children’s homes course runs over two days, with a one-day annual refresher. The schools course runs over one day. Both connect legal learning, risk assessment, de-escalation and practical skills through PCT’s own physical intervention system and the PCT Decision Assessment Tool.
All PCT courses are delivered face to face.
Assessment & certification
The course combines legal learning and supervised practical work. PCT confirms the attendance and assessment requirements before booking; practical participation is part of completing a practical programme.
