Meet the Team
Jovan Lazic
Jovan started PCT back in 2000 after working for the Department of Health at Glenthorne Centre, Erdington, Birmingham, as a Physical Interventions Trainer and Residential Care Worker.
Jovan has over 27 years of experience working with vulnerable children in care homes, educational settings, and adult services advising organisations on staff training, in-particular, physical intervention, techniques, de-escalation training and the
law on use of force.
Jovan developed a unique intervention technique called "The Barrier"; described by a leading government preferred medical assessor on use of force training as being "Revolutionary"
In addition, Jovan has the experience of previously holding the post of Head of Training and Development for an organisation with approximately 200 staff with several care homes and schools under their management.
Jovan has represented and supported PCT client organisations at meetings with placement authorities and during LADO and OFSTED investigations giving advice on restraint policy, training and practice.

PCT clients.
Debbie Walker MBE
Debbie joined the Army as a driver in 1982 and after serving 5 years in the Women’s Royal Army Corps, she left to join
West Midlands Police.
Debbie was initially posted to operational policing in Birmingham City Centre and also worked on a variety of different teams aimed at investigating crime.
Debbie served with West Midlands Police for nearly 27 years, retiring at the rank of Inspector. The last 10 years of her career, Debbie was the programme manager on the Drug Interventions Programme, a role for which Debbie was awarded the MBE in June 2014.
Debbie holds a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Policy and Procedure, is an A1 Assessor and an
Internal Verifier.
Since retiring from the police, Debbie has designed and delivered a number of courses, namely Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults, Investigative Interviewing to trainee detectives and First Aid Training.
Debbie is a qualified mountain leader and frequently guides walks in both the UK and Internationally.
