Introduction to our Physical Intervention and Restraint Risk Reduction Training
The two-day children’s homes programme connects physical intervention skills with the responsibilities of residential care. A one-day annual refresher supports continued learning. The training brings together legal understanding, risk assessment, de-escalation and supervised practical learning.

The course combines legal learning and supervised practical work. PCT confirms the attendance and assessment requirements before booking; practical participation is part of completing a practical programme.
