1/2 Day Annual Refresher Course
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recommends that first aiders have annual refresher training.
This course is designed to maintain skills and keep learners up to date with any changes which may happen between completing a first aid at work course and requalifying three years later.

Summary
Learners will be refreshed on the skills necessary for the practical application of safe and
effective first aid in emergency situations.

Who is this qualification for ?
This course is suitable for people aged 16+ who wish to refresh their first aid at work or emergency first aid at work skills.

Course Requirements
Learners must have a valid first aid at work or emergency first aid at work certificate to take this course.
Learners must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.

Qualification Structure
This course covers:

unresponsive and breathing

unresponsive and not breathing, including how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)

choking
-
bleeding
-
in shock
-
burns
-
having a seizure.

Certification
This course is not certified by an awarding body, however, course participants will receive a certificate to provide evidence of having undertaken an annual refresher of their existing first aid at work or emergency first aid at work skills.
